A visitor came to Room 14

On Friday, September 29th, we had Jason Harp come to talk with us about the importance of scaled models. He was able to explain how he uses scales in his work at Toth Associates. Jason walked us through how he can create plans for a building on his computer in 2-D and then with a touch of a button it turns into 3-D. The students and myself were amazed at the technology companies can use to create plans for building. Jason also brought in a house and wrench that were 3-D printed and they actually worked!

This week the students' talked about how cool this experience was. They have been asking questions about items that they saw and heard. This was an amazing opportunity for the Gifted program and thank you Jason for sharing your time with us.
